Teaching Philosophy

To me, teaching science is not merely about providing students with information but giving them the tools to think critically so they can solve real world problems. I want to cultivate a love for learning in my students through personal interactions, creative assignments and experimentation. In all my classes, I have worked hard to create an inclusive classroom environment where students can feel free to engage with the subject material and have productive discussions with their peers.

Fellowships

Center for Teaching Innovation Graduate Teaching Fellowship, Cornell University
Fall 2020- Spring 2021

The CTI Graduate Teaching Fellowship is a competitive fellowship that provides graduate students with an opportunity to design and implement teaching programs, events, and resources that foster teaching excellence and innovation. Through the program, Fellows meet and work together to refine their teaching skills, enhance their communication skills, and foster teaching networks across the university. As a participant I co-facilitated at least two workshops on teaching and learning in higher education.
